Tomás Saraceno, Poetic Cosmos of the Breath
I particularly enjoyed my last reblogged post of Mungo Thomsons font study of Time magazine. so i explored some of his other works; here is one of them:
Negative Space, 2006
Full color, 160 pages, 10-1/8” x 7” x ½”
Designed by Mungo Thomson with Conny Purtill
Published by Christoph Keller Editions and JRP|Ringier, Zurich
“I use objects that people are already familiar with because through these objects, I feel that I can communicate in a type of language that everyone understands. I substitute these objects for a person’s head and create a vicious cycle by putting the person in a chicken-and-egg circumstance with no escape.”
A series of concept designs as part of the Intermediate Project at the KISD (Köln International School of Design) by Yanik Balzar and Max Qwertz
Plastic Cups by Tara Donovan
Created out of thousands of drinking cups this plastic field measures approximately 50 by 55 feet. Resembling a topographical landscape, the staggered stacking of the cups causes me to view the piece as a swirling polystyrene ocean with ripples and wave reminiscent of a slowly undulating body of water.
